Comic Stars Overview

Comic Stars is the only tourist destination in Hong Kong that has gained fame in a short period. The official opening of this 100-meter-long path was made on September 28, 2012. It carries the statues of characters from Hong Kong comics ranging from 1960 to 2010. Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation along with the Hong Kong Productivity Council organizes this visiting Comic destination. A 100-meter-long street offers famous comic character figures on both sides along with 24 printed figures. Tourists and locals have the chance to take pictures with the local comic characters. Including old master Q, Ding Dong, and Pig MicDull one of the all-time favorites. Each statue is located at a height of almost 3 meters. 

Comic Stars Handprints

Instead of Comic figures of local characters, Hong Kong Avenue of Comic Stars also possesses 10 bronze handprints. Just like Avenue of Stars, Comic Stars gives a chance to tourists to clap their hands on the handprints of local comic artists i.e. Dr Tony Wong, and Mr. Ma Wing-Shing. Not only these handprints and comics are there. But also an education gallery where tourists can learn more about the comics, handprints, their history, workshops, and revolution.
